5+ YEARS OF EXCELLENCE IN EDUCATION
I’m a committed educator with five years of classroom experience in third grade, fourth grade, and middle school. Along the way, I’ve been fortunate to receive recognition as Rookie Teacher of the Year at Combs Traditional Academy, which reflected the supportive community I was part of and the connections I worked hard to build with my students. I’m trained in the Spalding Method for reading and writing, and I’ve found that its structured, research-based approach helps me better support young learners in developing strong literacy skills.
MY APPROACH TO TEACHING
- The teacher serves as a guide, not just an instructor.
- Hands-on learning is essential to student engagement.
- Choice and curiosity should drive learning.
- Students need opportunities to practice in a safe, low-pressure environment.

Every child learns differently, and our approach starts with understanding each student’s unique strengths, challenges, and learning style. By creating a supportive and encouraging environment, we foster curiosity, resilience, and self-confidence. Through personalized instruction, consistent guidance, and positive reinforcement, we empower students to build the skills they need to succeed both in school and beyond.
We primarily focus on students in grades 2 through 6 but are open to considering exceptions on a case-by-case basis. When students feel seen, supported, and capable, they are empowered to reach their full potential.
